a little fun with Webster Designs
I got both of these kits from Websters black friday sale. They were loaded and just such a great deal. I finally had a little fun since I've never played with Webster before but always liked their collections. The first one is my little man, Holden and the 2nd is Holden, Zoe and Charlie. It was one of the silliest photo shoots we have ever done but it created lots of laughs and fun memories so it wasn't all bad.

One Little Word
hi everyone,
I'm trying to get better at posting once a week but things seem to be getting away from me ever since Christmas went into full swing. I've been working on stuff I just can't seem to get it from the actual page to the blog.
As I mentioned in another post I decided to do Ali Edward's one little word. My word for my very first year is "forward". Here is my title page. I went with a 12x12 for the title but will continue with the 10x12 Project Life protectors for the whole year. Once I get month 1 done like everything else I will post up here.
I am STILL working on finishing my DD. With two kids 3 and under it just gets away from me. They are crazy fun little critters but take a lot of my time. It's all good - when they get older it will pay off :) Anyway I've babbled enough so enjoy my title page and I'll be back soon with more fun stuff!
I used a clear button from my stash, SC Mister Huey white, a project life journal card, brown twine from doodlebug, foam letters from American crafts that were distressed just a little to take the edge off of the cream color, chipboard banner shapes from Maya road which have been dyed with Mister Huey's (in plum thumb, custard and heirloom blue) then I added little rhinestones on the bottom of each banner to finish it off. :)

weekly sketch challenge from pretty little stuido
Over @ Pretty Little Studio they have their weekly sketch challenge going on so I thought I would have some fun with some of my stash that I didn't really know what to do with. Here is my version of their sketch shown above.
I used mostly October Afternoon's Holiday Style because it's one of my top 3 favorite new Holiday collections. I used two different Studio Calico's Mister Huey sprays to splatter paint on the white paper. I used three different color rhinestones but you can't really see it in the picture :( As for that bow - I found it off of Heidi's site vanlaardesigns.blogspot.com. She designed it and it rocks! Go check her out :) I also tossed in Jillibean Soup and Echo Park. Enjoy!
10 Things
OK OK i know it's officially NOT December anymore but Shimelle (really if you haven't checked out her blog run over there - drool, subscribe and run back over here...
Here are my 10 favorites things for the month of December :)
1. This is my son "amusing" me when I asked if I could take a picture of him with these antlers. That face cracks me up every time! He's only three....
2. My new favorite book! (Thanks to Dawn from Studio Calico - sorry I had her under Websters because their emails look the same header wise)
3. Zoe and her newly claimed baby. She had just learned this word - so cute!
4. Project Life: I finally gave in and ordered it. Now I can't get enough.
5. It isn't December until the candles come out. I am normally a Yankee Candle girl but I fell in love with this Slatkin scent - Spiced Cider - d.e.l.i.s.h.
6. My favorite teapot ever!
7. Starbucks - nuff said... :P (btw I pulled this picture off of starbucks.com)
8. My favorite sushi! It's spicy tuna that sits on top of a slice of banana (yep-banana). it's SOOOO good!
9. My husband - because he always makes me laugh - a lot...
10. J.K.'s Solstice Holiday Hard Cider
I'm not a big drinker - like 1 drink every 4 to 6 months but I found this @ the British store in downtown Frederick and let me tell you, it was a treat!

Holden's 3rd birthday
My little man turned 3 on the 28th. I can't believe he's 3 - where does the time go?! The little boy next door has a trike that Holden just loves so for his birthday we got him one of his own. He so far has done really well with it and even "parks" it in the garage at night. Children are silly little creatures aren't they? :) Here is a picture of him and his sister enjoying ice cream cake.
Every since I could remember we had a Carvel's ice cream parlor in one of the many shopping centers in Vienna, VA. It is LONG gone by now but I remember going with my grandmother to pick up birthday cakes and/or the random ice cream cone. Now we get them at our local grocery store and when Holden turned two we introduced him to my little family tradition.
Here is a picture of the big boy on his bike. He's SO happy! I have a feeling this is what he will be doing ALL weekend! LOL!

Brooklyn Flea SC kit
Hi,
After a few months of drooling over the monthly kit club @ Studio Calico I decided it was time to add my name to the ever growing list of subscribers. My first month (November) was the Brooklyn Flea kit and I just loved the back side of this Pebbles paper plus the 12x12 Bee's Knee's from Echo Park's Country Drive. I had the 6x6 paper pack so I grabbed two photos of my little Zoe who had just turned one and created this.
This (I think) is one of my best layouts I've ever done but I'm also one of those paper crafts that the magazines for some reason just don't dig. it's OK though - when she's older she's going to love it! and really that's all that matters.
